221 - PAINTING, MIXED MEDIA AND COMICS! (W / SARAH HARRIS)

Painted and mixed media artwork in comics is always a thing of beauty, and this week the ACP shines a light on this form of sequential storytelling and what it can do. They're joined by the brilliant artist Sarah Harris (The Whore Chronicles), who not only is a long time mixed media artist herself but is also an UBER comics efficianado, so not only does the chat cover the topic in-depth but there is also tons of other great comic book talk and recommendations!

088 - ARTHURIAN LEGEND IN THE INDIES! (W / NICK BROKENSHIRE)

This week top artist Nick Brokenshire (Amelia Cole) joins the gang to talk about the work that went into the brilliant new series from Dark Horse 'A Once and Future Queen'. There's talk about the re-imagining of myths, legends and existing characters in comics, the sales numbers of some of the smaller publishers, interacting on social media when you still have to work on an upcoming project and more. There's also talk of more amazing comics you need to check out, the show immediately starts on a filthy note and someone almost drinks a whole bottle of whiskey during the show!

Great stuff to check out this week: Nick Brokenshire, A Once and Future Queen, Dark Horse Comics, Monkeybrain Comics, Amelia Cole, IDW, Geek Girl, Eumurian Tales, MD Penman, Knock Off Wars, Stray Toasters, Vince's screening of The Void, A Place to Hang Your Cape
