This week Vince and Tony are joined by Nick Prolix, creator of The Sheep and the Wolves and Tony's collaborator on the upcoming Cockney kung Fu! With Dan on holiday, the trio take some time to chat about all kinds of comics topics, from Nick's own work and process, to some comic news that came out of San Diego Comic Con, a great program that helps with the collaboration process and some brilliant comic recommendations are turned out. Plus there's some listener questions and tons of purile and childish giggling going on as all three make each other laugh themselves silly. On this weeks show Vince and Tony catch up with legendary comics creator (and returning guest) Pat Mills! With Pats new book Be Pure, Be Vigilant, Behave! currently out and kicking ass the ACP decided to get him back on the show for an EPIC catch up. They talk about his current exploits in the world of prose books, his thoughts on the current comic scene and the new Scream/Misty crossover and tons more! Plus the show marks the podcast debut of Lisa Mills, who drops some knowledge about the business side of things and her work lettering the translation of Requiem Vampire Knight! 107 - EUROPEAN COMICS! (W / JEROME SAINCANTIN)

Over the past few months there has been more than a few European graphic novels that have appeared in the recommendation part of the Awesome Pod. Theres a reason for this - they are amazing. With that in mind, the gang decided to get together to talk about the epic world of undiscovered gems from Europe and are joined by longtime Cinebook translator Jerome Saincantin. Theres talk of the work that goes into translating some of the epic books for english speaking audiences, the way comics and books are viewed in Europe and as the film is just around the corner there is plenty of Valerian talk! Its a great look into a world of comics that some readers may not be aware of, but should truly check out. Plus theres a catch up about a small press comic event, some Doctor Who talk and all three of the hosts recommend a European series you need to check out. Don't miss it!

106 - DISABILITY IN COMICS! (W / ANDY W. CLIFT)

This week the gang are joined by returning guest Andy W.Clift (Bertie Bear, Sgt Steel) to talk about a subject that doesnt get discussed as much as it should - disability in comic books. Together, they talk about the roles that disability plays in comics, characters who have been done well/not so well and highlight some independent examples of disabled characters. Its a thought provoking and positive discussion about what can be done in the future with the subject and the opportunities there are for better representation across the board. Theres also brilliant independent books that get recommended, Dan reveals who he was a body double for, the truth behind 'the Green Room' is revealed and theres plenty of ACP giggles to be had!

105 - CARDIFF EXPO CONVENTION TALK! (W / IZ MCCAULLIFE)

This week the gang are joined by Iz McCaullife, the organiser of this years Cardiff Independent Comic Expo taking place on July 8th. There's plenty of talk about the great guests, panels and events happening at the show, and Iz also talks about the extra bits of marketing shes got in place and all the hard work and organisation that goes into a smaller indie show. There's also some listener questions, a poll gets plenty of discussion and of course there's some great indie comic recommendations. Not only that, but there's an extra bit of audio with the one and only Pat Mills as he discusses his new book with Tony. Plus Vince goes full on demanding diva, Dan recounts his exploits in reduced price sandwiches and Tony reveals more of his video game knowledge (spoiler: it's not much).
