153 - FROM PULP TO HUMOUR COMICS! (W / ALAN HENDERSON)

Vince, Dan and Tony are once again back together to talk up comics, and they hit the ground running with this weeks guest, the creator behind The Penned Guins - Alan Henderson! Not only do they discuss that strip and it's EPIC collection, but as Alan is a big fan of the genre, the gang decide to talk a bit about Pulp Comics! From Alans huge collection of Shadow artwork, to the history of the character and how the genre and characters have evolved the gang have a hugely interesting discussion about a genre you don't see too  much of in the small press. Theres also some brilliant comics for everyone to check out, a frank discussion about pricing at conventions and also plenty of laughs.

This week Mike Stock (Samurai Slasher, Afterlife Inc) and his endless line of credits joins the ACP gang to talk about the invisible art of comics - lettering! From the good, the bad and the ugly, the gang talk about the do's and don'ts of lettering a comic book, give out plenty of handy tips for those starting out and also get reeeeally techy at points. Not only that but the gang talk about some brilliant comic books to check out, discuss the local London Comic Mart and do a lot of laughing, which can only mean the return of some after-credits out takes!

145 - LIVE FROM LEAMINGTON COMIC CON 2018!

It's something a bit different this week as the ACP gang decided to do a whole show from the shop floor of Leamington Comic Con 2018! There's interviews with exhibitors, visitors and other convention organisers, tons of humour from the 3 excited hosts and more. Plus there's audio from not one but two panels that took place on the day. There's a fantastic one on one with John Wagner (Judge Dredd, Rok of the Reds) and even the live and completely unprepared Awesome Comics Podcast panel, where there's a discussion about indie comics with Jay Gunn (Surface Tension).
