Board games chat with a full compliment of Unnecessaries! This week we talk about A Game of Thrones, the tense game of area control and political treachery set in Westeros which the lads and their pals played recently, during which Chris confused Pawel with an alliance and an unlikely winner came from nowhere. Also in this episode is the app-driven XCOM board game, which simulates the management and bureaucracy side of the XCOM video games (it's more fun than it sounds), and also Discworld: Ankh-Morpork, the lovingly-created light board game set in the world created by Terry Pratchett. Enjoy!
013 - A THREE HANDER
Pawel joins us again and we try to coax a review out of him for post apocalyptic RPG Degenesis but he would much rather talk at length about XCOM 2. We also discuss Spirits of the Rice Paddy and BEST GAME EVAR Cosmic Encounter.
001 - DR DRE'S AWSUM GAME
A brief introduction to your hosts, explanation of the theme tune and the topics up for discussion (ie: not Monopoly). Then we have a look at some board games (Concordia, XCOM and Tiny Epic Kingdoms) and some video games (Mini Metro, TIS100, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Styx: Master of Shadows) which prompts a rambling discussion of sewer sections and obscure JRPGs.
